38% Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is an effective solution for the treatment of dental hypersensitivity. It works by occluding the dentinal tubules, which helps to minimize the sensitivity. The silver has antimicrobial properties while the fluoride promotes remineralization.
HOW TO APPLY SDF
STEP 1
Remove food debris, isolate and dry the area to be treated.
STEP 2
Protect the gingiva and lips by applying petroleum jelly.
STEP 3
Place 1-2 drops of NuSmile NuNamel SDF into a dappen dish and apply using a micro-brush.
STEP 4
For interproximal application, apply the SDF on floss using a micro-brush.
STEP 5
Isolate treated area for 1 minute.
STEP 6
Remove excess SDF with a cotton swab or roll.
