  • ReVIVE™ 3D Printed Resin-Ceramic Reinforced Pediatric Crowns | FDA Registered | NuSmile®

NuSmile ReVIVE™ is a 3D printed pediatric crown made from a strong resin-ceramic reinforced composite designed for durability, wear resistance, and natural translucency. The intaglio surface promotes reliable cement retention, while feather -edge cervical design supports conservative preparation and easy placement while maintaining durability and strength. ReVIVE is NOT a Zirconia or a BioFlx crown and has its own characteristics, strength profile and preparation requirements. ReVIVE is classified under CDT code D2932 (prefabricated resin-based composite crown).

ReVIVE™ Commonly Asked Questions

NuSmile ReVIVE crowns are made from a high-performance, resin-ceramic reinforced composite. The unique composition provides excellent wear resistance and durability with natural esthetics.

No. ReVIVE is not made from the same material as zirconia. ReVIVE is a resin-ceramic reinforced composite, while zirconia crowns are made from solid zirconium dioxide, a fully ceramic material. The materials have different compositions and clinical handling characteristics.

Both ReVIVE and zirconia crowns require a passive fit preparation. However, ReVIVE requires less aggressive circumferential reduction compared to zirconia, allowing for a more conservative tooth preparation while still achieving proper fit and retention.

No. ReVIVE is not made from the same material as BioFlx. ReVIVE is a resin-ceramic reinforced composite, whereas BioFlx is a hybrid resin polymer without ceramic reinforcement. The materials have different compositions and clinical handling characteristics.

Yes, ReVIVE is FDA registered.

Yes, ReVIVE crowns are 3D printed at NuSmile’s facility in Houston, Texas using a proprietary resin-ceramic material backed by more than 30 years of successful clinical use in permanent dentition.

ReVIVE crowns are provided in clean non sterile packaging. Clinicians may sterilize according to CDC guidelines.

Yes. ReVIVE crowns may be temporarily seated intraorally to assess fit and esthetics prior to final cementation. ReVIVE does not offer separate “try-in” crowns, so the actual crown intended for placement may be used for this purpose. If a crown is seated but not cemented, it should be thoroughly cleaned and sterilized according to standard infection control protocols before reuse.

At this time, ReVIVE crowns are available for anterior teeth only.

ReVIVE crowns have been placed clinically for nearly one year with no reported failures to date.
