NuSmile Involvement

At NuSmile we have a deep and longstanding commitment to the field of pediatric dentistry. We take great pride in the fact that our family-owned business is the one of the largest corporate sponsors of both the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the Institute for the Clinical Practice of Pediatric Dentistry (ICPPD). We are also a major sponsor of the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD), the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (EAPD), the Canadian Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (CAPD/ACDP), the Mexican Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry Foundation, the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the College Diplomates of American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and numerous other pediatric dentistry organizations.

Diane Johnson Krueger, our founder and CEO, has been actively involved with the American Dental Association (ADA), the AAPD, the AAPD Foundation’s Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children organization, and many other national and international pediatric dentistry organizations over the past 25 years. Diane’s son, Chief Operating Officer Jason Johnson, is heavily involved in NuSmile’s pediatric dentistry residency support and educational programs. Diane’s brother, Senior Vice President of New Product Development Mark Binford, a chemical engineer by training, works closely with both public and private research institutions to continuously advance materials for pediatric restorative dentistry.

NuSmile also sponsors numerous educational programs each year in order to enhance the practice of pediatric dentistry throughout the world.

Here’s what Charlie Toillion, DDS, a pediatric dentist practicing in Spokane, Washington, had to say about us:

“They give back to the profession through their sponsorship of a lot of lectures and meetings. I think they find value in what we do, and I think it’s nice to have a company that isn’t just trying to sell you their crowns and meet a number. They are actually invested in the profession as a company, which a lot of companies don’t do. They are a very special company that makes our profession stronger.”

We appreciate what Dr. Toillion and thousands of other children’s dentists do each and every day to provide outstanding dental care for their young patients. At NuSmile, it’s such a great feeling for us to be able to contribute to the great work that pediatric dentists are doing to change children’s lives. We try to show that appreciation each and every day by keeping our customers Smiles Ahead.
